- cofog-old-age.html: UN COFOG 10.2.0 definition. The category includes retirement pensions, care allowances and services for older people, plus scheme administration. It includes government-employee and military pension schemes; survivors and healthcare have separate functions.
- drees-social-protection-2024.pdf: DREES social-protection accounts, edition 2025, March 2026 file. Printed p36 discusses demographic and policy drivers; pp54–57 discuss 2024 pension growth. These accounts include some private provision and their totals must not replace the COFOG general-government figures. The two contextual numbers used in the article are base-pension uprating of 5.3% from January 2024 and CNAV pensioner numbers growing 1.0% in 2024. They are not additive contributions to the COFOG old-age spending increase.
- retiree-population.html: Social Security evaluation of pension-recipient numbers. Context check on baby-boom cohorts and retirement-age reforms. A recipient may receive several pensions: do not sum regime counts to infer unique people.
No new demographic causal decomposition is claimed. The growth charts are reproduced entirely from the existing spending-functions.csv; a stock of recipients, benefit indexation and broad old-age expenditure are different measures.
